Requirements of New Resource Food Research Report

For some research content, it can have different written content depend on different kinds of the new resource food.

At least should include the following contents:

1.     Name: including commodity name, common name, chemical name, English name.

2.     Source: including scientific name, Latin name, animals and plants should include origin, edible parts, form description, biology characteristics, species identification, its appraised method and basis; microorganism should include source, taxonomy status, biological characteristics, species identification, its appraisal method and basis etc.

3.     Raw materials isolated from animals, plants, microorganisms, should include the name and source of the animals, plants, microorganism, and the main physical and chemistry properties and chemical structure of the main components.

2. The Purpose and Basis of the Research

This part mainly expounds the background, purpose and scientific basis of the research, should include the following contents at least:

1.     Purpose: briefly illustrates the purpose and application of the research of the new resource food, including its nutrition, physiology and functions, and research progress and scientific basis or inference; and the prospect of the market of the product development and application, and its possible social and economic benefits in the future.   

2.     The basis and background of the research and development: illustrates why this product can be used as new resource food from the definition of the new resource food and edible history in domestic and abroad, as well as approval and usage situations in other countries.  

2.1.             Definition of new resource food: whether this food is in accordance with the new resource food definition in “management measures of new resource food”.

2.2.             Briefly illustrates the edible history in domestic and abroad: briefly illustrates the new resource food edible history in domestic and abroad, at least include the suitable group, amount, time, purpose of the intake and the possible adverse reaction after intake. All information is better as quantitative as possible. 

2.3.             Briefly illustrates the approval and application situations: such as the approval and application situations in the United States, the EU, Canada and Japan, and its management information if it is as an ordinary food, food additive, new resource food, dietary supplement, medical or functional food in some other countries.

3. Briefly describes the background related to the research and development, Tianjianhuacheng: like change the new resource food manufacture process, it should describe the similarities and differences of the primary process and current process and the reasons of change, in addition, it should describes the differences of raw materials’ components, content or structure in new manufacture process comparing with the traditional manufacture process, and its basis as well.   

      

3. Process Research

This part should mainly describe the selection, verification and the reasonable and safety of the application, should include the following at least:
